Deborah (Gardiner) Salisbury
May 12, 1950 - March 14, 2010


Deborah M. Gardiner Salisbury, 59, of State Rt. 34, Weedsport, died Sunday, March 14, 2010, with her family at her side. Deb died at her family home following a year-long battle with a brain tumor. Born in Auburn on May 12, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Nathan Gardiner and Emmagene Schram Thayer of Weedsport. She was a graduate of Weedsport High School, Class of 1968. Deb was employed for many years with Dr. W. Flier's Dental Office of Port Byron.

She enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting, but mostly she will be remembered for her caring nature and helping of others. She is survived by her loving family, her husband of over 35 years, Timothy Salisbury; her two sons, Edward Salisbury, and Jen Salisbury both of Weedsport; her mother, Emmagene Thayer and her husband, Larry of Weedsport; her brother, Alan Gardiner and his wife, Trish of Weedsport; two aunts, Winifred Lamphere of Weedsport, and Anne Gardiner of Sennett; an uncle, Leon Schram and his wife, Helen of Throop.

Deb fought her cancer battle at home, being comforted by Tim, Ed, Jen and other family members. She was given support by the many cards sent by her friends, her family is grateful for all the kindness shown to her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Weedsport. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St., Auburn. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Finger lakes, 1130 Corporate Dr., Auburn.
